A Big thank you goes to Mr Peter Woolliams for the supply of the samples in this review.

This is photoluminescent rigid urethane sheeting and looks to be made by mixing epoxy resin and alkaline earth aluminate I think!

I am sure that somebody will provide me with more exacting details but for now the most important thing is that this stuff is Fun.

It's also another great excuse to break out the ARC AAA UV LED Torch. This is really great for activating the glow sheeting and can be used to draw patterns on it. My other lightsource was a Tigerlight. This really does get things glowing very quickly.

.The material is quite hard and brittle so you need to be careful if you cut it. Scoring it with a sharp craft knife and breaking it along the score line it the way Peter said worked best for him.

It gives off a surprising amount of light and will easily light up my room at night if all of the four sample are illuminated with the Tigerlight for a minute of so before putting all the lights out.

The initial high brightness fade reasonably quickly, but the material will glow for many hours at reduced brightness.

What use is it? Well it makes pretty good markings for finding things in the dark. Fix it to light switches, Torches, Stairwells or anything else that gets daylight or bright illumination at some point to allow the material to charge. Then when it's dark this material will show the way.

If you check out the manufacturers web site they make several products out of this as well as selling the raw pigments to add to your own designs.

I think further investigation may be required :-)
