After getting my previous ARC Limited Edition these looked just too cool to pass up. They are no longer manufactured by ARC so they are also getting harder to get hold off. But many dealers still have some in stock.
Features
So what the difference between these and a standard ARC AAA? Well the standard White LED had been replaced with one of various colours. The ones I have are as follows :-
Red :- Narrow beam pattern,
older version head with gasket instead of O-ring. With clip.
Blue :- Standard beam
pattern.
Green :- Standard beam
pattern. Second brightest. Lightmeter Mk I eyeball.
Turquoise :- Standard beam pattern. The brightest of the colours. With
clip.
Orange :- Narrow beam pattern.
Beamshots will follow to give a good idea of the different colours and brightness.
Note camera (Canon Powershot G3) set to automatic exposure. So brightness is not relative from beam to beam. Above shots give a better idea of the relative brightness.
